SSS ProjectI thought that this project was very interesting idea because we were supposed to write a script for a famous movie scene. We wrote the script to the iconic "Here's Johnny" scene in The Shining. After we were done, we were told to pass our script off to another group. We gave our script off and received this scene from Superbad. Without watching the real scene from the movie, we had to film it based on the script that was given to us. I thought we were pretty successful throughout the video but I wish that we would have corrected the lighting a little bit more. Besides that, I thought out storytelling and audio was on point.

Short FilmThis was another film that I really enjoyed making. Our script was a little goofy while we were making it but I think that it turned out pretty good. I like our choices in actors and I think that both of them executed it fairly well. There was a lot of preparation that had to go into it before we could film like buying a goldfish and getting a family photo but I think that it was worth it. I wish that we could have ended it a lot better though because it seemed a little confusing that he had a list and just happened to get all those things from Hannah's car. But all in all, I really liked this project and how it turned out.

7-Day ChallengeWe had to make a video in 7 days for this MMEA project and it had to include a stapler, and the line "it's not my fault." We were going to make it be about a man getting stood up at a dinner date but after we filmed the first part of it, we couldn't get the same actors so we had to change the idea. The last night before it was due, we filmed a new story with new actors and then a girl in our group stayed up all night to edit it. I think it turned out pretty good but I wish that we could have had a stronger storyline and a better ending.

You ChooseGoing into this project, I had a big idea of what I wanted this short film to be as the project was just to film anything you wanted to. I chose to do a remake of a previous video that I made in 7th grade called Tag - The Movie. I think that I was pretty successful in creating suspense at the end but there were some other part that I could have polished to make it better. For example, some of my sound effects were off and also the audio sounded weird in a few places too. Although I didn't really like the final outcome, I'm glad I re-filmed the ending because the scripted ending that I had was really weird.

DocumentaryThis project was probably one of the best works that I did all year and I really enjoyed doing it. We had to make a documentary on any topic and I chose to follow the story of how my parents dealt with raising triplets. I started out with a lot of baby videos of our childhood and I really liked to continue with that. I also liked my choice in music and the ending of the video. I wish that I could have had better lighting for the interviews and maybe included an interview from my brothers if the time limit wasn't just five minutes. But all in all, I believe that this was one of my successful projects.

AnimationThis was the last project we had to do before winter break and I was a pretty easy one. We came up with the idea to film in the snow and it was pretty simple after that. The point of this film was not to have a complex storyline but to tell a short little story with the use of animation. I thought that we had a lot of success with this film because we were very creative with certain aspects like the roll through the door and the snow angel. The only hard part was that it was very cold both days and one the second day of shooting, we got locked out of the school and had to walk around to the front. If I could do this again then I would have ended it better or with more emotion.

PSAFor this project, we had to create a public service announcement that showed awareness toward a subject. One of my uncles has been in a weelchair all his life so I chose to make a video to promote the building of public facilities for handicap people such as ramps or automatic doors. I thought I did a pretty good job showing the sad theme and emotion of the video. Also I liked how the frame changed as the music had a beat to it. I didn't like how quiet the music was in the beginning though. Finally, I think that it went by really fast and I wish it was longer.

321 SceneThis video was called the 321 scene because it was supposed to be three minutes long, have two characters, and be shot in only one location. Although we had a very long script, it wasn't three minutes long because we said our lines very fast. Also we ran into a problem when the whole second half of our video didn't have audio when we shot our second day because the girl who was working the boom mic messed up. We had to reshoot the following monday and our lighting and continuity were a little off. I thought that the idea behind this video was very stupid and didn't really make much sense. If I were to do it again, I would change almost everything.

Music VideoWe could make a music video for this project and tell any story we wanted to. I chose to tell the tragedy of a young relationship as they are fighting. I thought I told the story very well and at the end the whole thing is finally revealed. Also I liked some of the shots at the graveyard and the different angles. I wish that I didn't have the shot at the end with the girl in the street because I thought that was not very dramatic. But overall, I thought that I did a very good job on this video.

Neuqua Through Your EyesThis was the first video that we were told to create in my sophomore year. It was supposed to reflect how you perceive the school. I chose to have a character play myself because I didn't really like the first person point of view ideas. At the time, summer had just ended and I was really tired all day so I had my actor show that in the video. The words at the end were our school slogan this year and it meant to give all you have to sports and school within Neuqua. I was mocking the theme as the character was very stressed out and just wanted for school to be over. I liked the overall video but I wish that some shots weren't as backlit as they were.
