Music VideoFor this project, we had to make a music video on any song. I chose the song Demons by Imagine Dragons. The storyline is about how a young man is being chased by his demons in the forest. It then flashes to the stress that he is faced with through school work, his mom, and his girlfriend. At the end, he stops and takes a deep breath and turns around to confront his demons inside. I went through some roadblocks filming this with my main actor not wanting to film and the weather being very poor. If I could do this again then I would make the lighting better and get more variety with my shots.

Talk ShowMy friend Aidan and I had to create a talk show and interview someone in the process. I was the director and Aidan was the host. We interviewed Laura Nylen, an instructional technology director for district 204. I thought that it went pretty well but if I had to do this again, I would have talked to the playback person and told them to press the record button after you press the cold open button so you don't have the weird first frame.

Press ConferenceThis was not a real story and was made up by the media department. When I heard about the idea of this project I was very excited about it and I thought that the end product was very cool. I do wish that I would be able to shoot some more shots because the camera was very shakey. If I had to do this again, I wouldn't change a lot to it. Although I don't think that the voice over in the beginning was very clear.

NewscastMy partner, Scottie, and I did the story about the lottery and I thought it went very well. It was intended to be funny because we knew that the answers that people gave would be comical. Although, if I were to do this again then I would have told the host to say something different because she said something about how the lottery was growing and we went off the fact that St. Patricks day was coming up. Also, I would have asked a more variety of people because we mainly just asked our friends and the people we knew. Next time I will ask teachers too.

News PackageFor this project, we interviewed the assistant principal, Mr. Perry. We talked to him about the widely thought topic of backpacks in the Birkett Freshman Building. I liked the idea for this because it was very original and everyone wanted to know the answer. If I would do this again then I would have angled the camera closer during the interview and I would have told Mr. Perry to repeat what he said at the end when he mispronounced "safer."

Group CommercialFor this project, my group decided to make a Post-It commercial. One struggle that we had was time management. This because we had to set up all the sticky notes, film, and still have time to clean up at the end of the period. We had to film this video over the course of a couple days. I wish there was shots of the guy setting up the sticky notes. Next time I would also add more emotion to the commercial.

CommercialWe had to make a music video promoting a product. This was my favorite project to create and my favorite outcome too. I made my shot list very well detailed and it made filming a lot easier. I also liked the idea behind this video about how a man loves this candy bar so much that he will do anything to get it back. I also thought the music in the back was clear and I liked it when he turned his head and the music said "run."

Re-cut TrailerFor this project, we were given the whole movie of The Notebook and we had to edit the clips to made a trailer of a different genre. We changed this love story into a horror film. I liked how we only used the clips where the main character looked like a stalker. But I thought that we got a little lazy toward the end where we had to put clips of the girl running and hiding. Although I liked the title page where the movie title showed up.

Car ChaseWe were given clips of a car chase for this assignment and we had to edit them in our own way. When we submitted this project, we did something wrong and added too many black clips at the end. That's why it goes on forever. Other than that, I liked how it turned out with all our different effects. Figuring out how to submit this was definitely a roadblock in this process.

Narrative SequenceThis was one of the first projects that we had to create with editing software. The criteria was very simple for this project, we had to include three lines that the actors had to say and it had to include an umbrella. I thought that our idea was very original and I liked the storyline. But the final product was not how I thought it was going to be. If I would do this again then I would film the last scene in a different location because the geese were too loud. I would also change up the shot composition because the camera was always at the same angle.
